A showreel displaying some of my favourite videos created for MR PORTER’S instagram account. This shows a variety of videos that have all been edited specifically for Instagram. I challenged myself to create engaging video content for a 15 second period, within a square aspect ratio, by using as many different digital assets as possible.
I focused on using interesting transitions, images and editing techniques to keep our videos fresh. I didn’t want them just to feel like regurgitated content or simple promos for longer form videos.
Within this framework I felt we had an opportunity to showcase moving image content in a fresh new way why delivering in a way that stayed true to the platform and its user.
In some examples we used still product images and created simple animations, other times we’d shoot exclusive 15 interviews that promoted a longer form videos.
Each video was approached by trying to tell a story from a new angle.
